TEAM ROCKIT (USA)
Chicago, IL (USA): power pop, rock, punk at it's finest. This
is the trio “that could”, with three albums including
their latest, enhanced CD "Duck Duck Goose" available
It was only a logical fit for TEAM ROCKIT to be asked to do a
Ramones cover, they're also the essence of stripped down drums
& guitar rock!www.teamrockit.com

"To Dee Dee, Johnny and Joey and special forces agent Perry
Coma a.k.a. Adolf Christ. Four of the biggest influences in my
life" - Dee Troyit (O.B.S)
We start every show with this great song, it was actually the
very first song we ever played together. The Ramones were probably
the ones who influenced most young punks and encouraged a lot
of them to play an instrument - truly a legendary band
A day in Kiel Rock City. "Alright everyone we need to cover
a Ramones song. Which one? I don´t know man, they all rule.
Let me think, Ramones, Ramones, Ramones. Blitzkrieg Bop? Naah.
Sheena is.... yeah, yeah punk rocker and all that shit... hmmm..
No! I don´t know lets go get wasted." The next morning,
day of recording: "dudes we´ve got to get a move on.
I can´t think, i´m too hung over, somebody must have
put something ........". Somebody...." was recorded
on Nov.28th 2004 in 4 hours by Peter Kaluza in Limperbude Osselberg.
Mixed and mastered on Dec. 1st 2004 in 3 hours by Florian Sommer
in Blu-Noise Studio Hamburg.
THE HAVANA AFFAIRS
Without the Ramones we'd have nothin', not even a bandname...
1 chord, 2 chords, 3 chords GO!!!
The Ramones – one of the best bands ever! No question, we
had to be on this compilation. It´s been fun to record the
song, which has been part of our live-set for years, in a slightly
different way. Country meets Punk´N´Roll. That´s
it. For more information check out: www.ya-hoo-music.de
About ourselves: "we believe in rock ’n' roll and ...
in miracles". About The Ramones: "what can we say...
a band which made miracles!" Check out:
Massive-Alternative-Noise is our Voice! Kevins Campfire plays
a mixture of Alternative Rock, Punk and Metal. The past two years,
we did a lot of shows in Germany. The Ramones created definitely
their own style of Rock 'n Roll! Hey ho let´s go! So did
the Ramones, and so do we when we're on stage. We're happy to
be a part of this fabulous compilation.
The Ramones were a band like no other. They wrote a lot of fantastic
hard, fast and loud songs in a characteristic three-chord style
and left their mark on rock ´n´roll. That was exactly
what also RAMONE$ MANIA had planned to do. Since we´ve been
too late, there is nothing else for us but to pay tribute to the
Ramones and keep their spirit and music alive.
Treekillaz feat. ZAK TELL (CH)
After Clawfinger and Treekillaz went back to the tourbus after
a gig in Munich, a Ramones song was played on the stereo which
caused a funny scene. All members of both bands started a big
moshpit which almost caused the bus to fall over - since then
we all knew that we have to record a song together. The Ramones
are a cult band and that's good then what would 90% of all rock
bands do without the influence of their unique mix between rock'n'roll,
pop and punk - we don't know ! www.treekillaz.com

Ramones homepage -

books: Heaven Needed A Lead Singer: Fans Remember Joey Ramone
and Rock In Peace: Dee Dee And Joey Ramone etc.) and Tommi aka

or platinum in Finland), Heko (Ne Luumäet = legendary among
Ramones fans and Rehtorit) and bassist Martti (Luonteri Surf).
TRIBUTE TO NOTHING (UK)
When we were invited to this project and asked if we wanted to
record a Ramones tribute song we instantly said YES. We had the
privilige to play with Dee Dee back in '94 in London. I was 14
at the time and will remember that show until the day I die but
until then 'I WANNA LIVE'!!!!!
The first time I saw the RAMONES and heard „I Want You Around“
was on German TV, on a Sunday morning when they broadcasted “Rock’n’Roll
Highschool”. I was 8 years old then. The all-time best songwriters
ever are The Beatles, The Ramones and… Hens Hensen. It
is a pleasure to contribute a song for this tribute album!
ALAIN NKOSSI KONDA (DR of CONGO)
In the 29 years I lived in New York City before my recent relocation
to Bavaria (Southern/Germany), I had the pleasure of performing
during my last year as a “teenager” on numerous occasions
at the Legendary CBGB’s (OMFOG) which is located on Bleecker
& 3St. All can say is that even upon my last visit to this
Mecca in the Spring of 2003, I could still feel the vibe left
behind by the RAMONES and other great bands of the 20th century
music scene. The song is produced and performed by myself (African
rhythm guitar, programming & all instruments), with the assistance
of Jim Savitt (on rhythm & lead guitar which were recorded

Waver got a hold of it through the recordcompany Dead frog records.
The C.E.O. of Dead frog is a serious Ramones fan. He phoned the
group up and just said, you should do Danny says. And he had a
good reason, or at least he thought. First it is his second favourite
Ramones song (after To be sedated), and Waver could do a really
cool version of Danny says. And it came out great, so great that
it will be released on Wavers second album in autumn 2005.
We will only do Poison heart. That is the Ramones song that means
most to the band. That was the answer from Jeremiha Dead frog
records CEO got when he phoned up the band to ask. And to go along
with the Jeremiha sound that was ideal. Said and done, it was
recorded in the famous Random recording in Uppsala, Sweden during
a weekend with Jimmy Bergwall and Daniel Hendriksson. It will
appear on the debut album from Jeremiha during spring 2005.
ELECTRIC HIPPIE FEAT. REBELLA JANE DOE
"Blitzkrieg Bop" doesn't work out right as an electronical
version? The Ramones always work out right! So we did not worry.
We just had fun.
ORIGINAL LEBERKAS DUO
Original New Bavarian Ramones Duo", oder so.
Körperwerk meets the Ramones : an uncommon combination but
all spiritual ways come together somehow. This is the only Coversong
Körperwerk ever did. So listen close and feel it. Produced
& mastered by LoboPanic@Klangewalt.com,

The phone had been ringing for over 20 Minutes when Steffen picked
up the receiver: „Hi, this is Joey Ramone. I don´t
have too much time so we have to make this quick. Here are three
chords: A major, D major, and E major. You got that? Yeah? Ok!
Just repeat those for the beginning and the first verse. For the
bridge you change to a D major and then an E major and repeat
that. Alright! The chorus is the beginning again but there´s
also a middle part that´s a bit different so you might want
to write it down. At the end of the 2nd chorus you play an F-sharp
minor – what do you mean you don´t know how to play
an F-sharp minor? – yeah, go and look it up! - anyways,
then it´s D, A, and E major again. That´s it! Yeah,
that´s the whole song. Lyrics? What lyrics? You come up
with something – and if not just do some aaahs and ooohs
or baabaas – I do that all the time. And man, don´t
forget the claps! Throw in some claps! Do you hear me? OK –
cool. So now I want you to call Thorsten and Olli and then you
play that song for me, OK? OK! Bye.” Steffen looked at his
watch. It was 4.30 a.m., April 15th, 2001 and he had some calls
